In 2012, Yemaya Dance Company created "The Sacramento Latin Music Project" funded by the City of Sacramento's  "Gifts to Share Program".  The ensemble was an effort to bring talented local musicians  to learn and share the Latin music genre to the community.   The project was well received with much success and was given opportunities to play in different venues and at different events.

In 2024, we are bringing back the essence of the previous project with new talented musicians and collaborating with experienced artists of the Latin music genre.  We are proud to introduce "SABOR!", a Sacramento Latin music collaborative.  ​​
